Freight, Fun, and the Future: NMFTA’s 2025 Spring Meeting Makes Waves in Clearwater Beach
The NMFTA 2025 Spring Meeting took place on March 2-4, 2025, in Clearwater Beach, FL. From engaging committee meetings to thought-provoking panels and presentations on sustainability, culture, technology, and artificial intelligence (AI), we explored key trends that will shape the future of the less-than-truckload (LTL) industry. The event was capped off with incredible networking experiences during the NMFTA golf and fishing tournaments, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and the closing celebration!

Final NMFC Changes List Available to Download
In response to the feedback we have received since the release of Docket 2025-1 on January 30, we are releasing a final version of the spreadsheet that details items that appear on the docket. This list only references specific items affected by proposals in the 2025-1 Docket and does not include any Notes, Generic Headings, Subgeneric Headings, or items that will be assigned the handling, stowability, and liability indicator.
Following the FCDC Public Meeting on March 3, 2025, final determinations on each proposal have been made and will be available as part of the soon-to-be-released Disposition Bulletin. Download the list now to review the proposed changes before they go into effect.

Our Spring Meeting was a great success, with ClassIT+ on display outside the main meeting room and demos available upon request. Attendees previewed key features, including the highly anticipated “What’s New” notifications highlighting NMFC data changes effective July 19, 2025. This feature was a standout for those tracking upcoming updates.
The new ClassIT+ API also generated significant interest, with one conversation, in particular, reinforcing excitement about its enhanced capabilities.
Looking ahead to the Summer Meeting, we’ll showcase the latest demo, host a panel with beta participants, and provide expert insights on ClassIT+.

Digital LTL Council Releases New API Standards for Pickup Requests and Visibility
NMFTA's Digital LTL Council has released a new digital breakthrough aimed at streamlining two critical elements of the freight transport process—pickup requests and visibility.

The Electronic Bill of Lading (eBOL) API Standard is transforming how the LTL industry manages shipment documentation. Developed by the Digital Standard Development Council's Digital LTL Council, this standard eliminates paper-based inefficiencies and introduces seamless, automated, and accurate bill of lading processes.

The Pickup Request and Visibility API Standard is more than a technology, it's a step toward a fully digitized and efficient LTL freight ecosystem. Designed by the Digital Standard Development Council's Digital LTL Council, this groundbreaking standard aligns with our mission to connect every part of the supply chain through smarter technology.
