In order to provide feedback for the National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA)™ please fill out all required fields, including subject number, contact details, and company type. Written statements may be submitted by mail or email, but they must be received by the FCDC no later than 5:00 pm ET, Tuesday, February 25. Statements should include pertinent information relating to the transportation characteristics—density, handling, stowability, and liability—of the product(s) involved, or relevant to packaging materials or methods in connection with proposed packaging amendments.

Next Steps
Council Review: Once all feedback has been collected, the Freight Classification Development Council (FCDC) will review feedback. You can monitor announcements regarding final decision on the docket at nmfcchanges.com, or on the Public Docket Files Page. Changes may be implemented, revised, or deferred based on feedback and committee discussions. If the proposed changes are approved, ensure your organization is prepared for compliance with the new classifications or guidelines.
Attend Public Hearing: If you have an interest, you are invited to attend the FCDC meeting on March 3, 2025, to present your feedback in person. The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater Beach, FL commencing at 1:00 pm ET. If you wish to schedule an appearance at the meeting, please submit your interest via the 'Intent to Attend' form.
